Our Story
How Damai came to be
Damai started from a straightforward observation: small businesses in Kelantan were hearing a great deal about AI, but most of the support available was written for tech teams in large cities. The language was dense, the pricing was steep, and the assumption was always that you already knew the basics.
Our founder, who had spent years helping local businesses navigate software systems, decided to fill that gap. In early 2023 we opened our Kota Bharu office with a clear intention — to be the kind of advisor a small business owner can call when they're curious but cautious, and who will give them an honest answer rather than a sales pitch.
The name Damai comes from the Malay word for peace. It captures how we think support should feel: steady, calm, and respectful of the person receiving it. Two years on, we've worked with cafes, boutique manufacturers, retail shops, and professional services firms across Kelantan — all at their own pace.
